The arthropod has been named Eumillipes Persephone, a pale-colored adult female with more than 1,300 legs on an elongated body about 95 millimeters long.
"In my opinion, it is an amazing animal, a marvel of evolution", has expressed the biologist and co-author of the discovery Bruno Buzatto, adding that this millipede is the most elongated among the millipedes found to date, which were the first animals in conquering the land.
